Boutique hospitality meets premium motoring as Tintswalo Collection and Lexus South Africa introduce immersive luxury experiences across the Western Cape
Luxury hospitality and premium motoring come together in a new collaboration between Tintswalo Collection and Lexus South Africa, creating a series of curated travel and lifestyle experiences designed to redefine modern luxury travel in South Africa.
Built on a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, sensory design and meaningful human connection, the partnership introduces exclusive guest experiences that combine Tintswalo’s intimate boutique hospitality with Lexus’ renowned philosophy of innovation, refinement and Japanese-inspired hospitality.
Redefining Luxury Through The Art of Experience
At the heart of the collaboration is The Art of Experience, a concept that explores how travel, movement and place can create deeper emotional connections for guests.
“We are delighted to partner with Lexus – a brand that understands the emotional side of luxury,” says Lisa Goosen, CEO of Tintswalo Collection. “This collaboration allows us to enhance our guest journeys through thoughtful mobility, cultural storytelling and meaningful experiences that reflect both our local heritage and a global design language.”
The partnership will initially focus on selected Tintswalo properties in the Western Cape, where guests can enjoy a collection of bespoke experiences inspired by luxury travel, culture and wellbeing.
Signature Lexus and Tintswalo Experiences
Among the highlights is the Lexus Lexcursion™, a chauffeur-driven luxury road trip through the spectacular Cape Peninsula. Designed to engage all the senses, the experience combines scenic beauty, local culture, curated cuisine and premium comfort.
Guests can also enjoy the Lexus Tea Experience: Omotenashi at Tintswalo, hosted at Tintswalo Summer House. Inspired by Japanese tea traditions, the experience blends carefully selected South African botanicals with the principles of mindful hospitality.
At Tintswalo Boulders, overlooking the famous African penguin colony, the Lexus Jazz Kissa: The Sound of Craft introduces a sophisticated ocean-facing listening lounge inspired by Japan’s iconic jazz cafés, celebrating music, design and slow living.
Adding a creative dimension to the collaboration, Intersect by Lexus will serve as a rotating showcase for South African artists and designers whose work reflects values shared by both brands, including craftsmanship, conscious luxury and timeless elegance.
The Philosophy of Omotenashi
Central to the partnership is the Japanese concept of Omotenashi – the art of anticipating guests’ needs through genuine, selfless hospitality.
This philosophy aligns naturally with Tintswalo’s approach to luxury travel, where personalised service and meaningful experiences are integral to every stay.
“The Lexus brand is built on anticipation, craftsmanship and hospitality,” says Tasneem Lorgat, General Manager of Marketing Communications at Lexus South Africa. “Through this partnership with Tintswalo Collection, we are able to express those values beyond our vehicles and into immersive lifestyle experiences that reflect how our customers live, travel and connect with the world.”
A New Era of Luxury Travel Experiences
The Tintswalo and Lexus South Africa partnership is expected to evolve throughout the year, with additional curated experiences, artist collaborations and lifestyle activations being introduced across the Tintswalo Collection portfolio.
Together, the two luxury brands are creating a new benchmark for experiential travel in South Africa — one where hospitality, culture, design and premium mobility combine to create unforgettable journeys.
