The fourth annual Content Creator Awards invites South Africa’s top digital storytellers to enter for free and gain industry recognition
South Africa’s digital creators are officially invited to enter the fourth annual Content Creator Awards 2026, with submissions now open for creators across the country.
Founded in 2022, the awards celebrate the storytellers, entertainers, educators and innovators shaping South African online culture. The platform recognises the creators building communities, driving trends and influencing digital conversations every day.
More than an awards programme, the Content Creator Awards is a not-for-profit initiative focused on growing and professionalising South Africa’s creator economy. With the exception of one agency category, all entries are free, making participation accessible to creators from all backgrounds.
Recognising Creators as Cultural Entrepreneurs
According to founder Manuela Dias de Deus, today’s creators are much more than influencers.
“Today’s content creators are entrepreneurs, storytellers and cultural drivers building brands and influencing industries. The Content Creator Awards are designed not only to recognise that impact, but to create meaningful opportunities for creators to grow sustainably.”
She adds that through workshops, mentorship, networking and industry recognition, the platform aims to create long-term opportunities for creators to build credibility and visibility in the industry.
Each category winner will receive R10,000 worth of prizes, while select categories offer cash prizes of up to R20,000.
