Topwatch, South Africa’s pre-owned luxury watch specialist, today announced a strategic partnership with  WatchBox, the global e-commerce platform for the buying, selling, and trading of preowned luxury watches. Founded in 2017 by watch industry heavyweights Danny Govberg and Liam Wee Tay, and investor-entrepreneur Justin Reis, WatchBox builds upon a proven a profitable model for the pre-owned space, with an established presence in the United States, Hong Kong, and Switzerland. According to a global luxury report by Deloitte, Sub-Saharan Africa is second only to Asia Pacific in the rate of growth of consumer markets. “South Africa’s expanding luxury market, coupled with the growth of e-commerce and digital marketing, ushers in a massive growth opportunity for WatchBox,” stated South African-born Amanda Ellison, WatchBox’s global President and Chief Operating Officer.
