Hoegaarden, Leffe and Stella Artois launch The Belgian Beer Café on 4th Avenue Parkhurst

The Belgian trio of Hoegaarden, Leffe and Stella Artois, who make up the Belgian portfolio of AB InBev, have banded together to launch The Belgian Beer Café (TBBC) in Parkhurst, Johannesburg. TBBC is about creating a pop-up shop to celebrate Belgian beer in the local neighbourhood.

TBBC will host experiences such as quiz night, book club, live DJs, beer tasting and more. Many guests will be able to experience Hoegaarden and Leffe for the first time – two Belgian beers that bring 600 years of rich history in wheat and alebeer styles. Alongside them will be the established and much-loved Stella Artois.

TBBC will be hosted at The Blank Bar, a lively venue on 4th Avenue, Parkhurst. It’s a space that allows brands to do a complete takeover and create a bespoke experience for the public to enjoy. Being in the heart of Parkhurst with a variety of great spaces around, The Blank Bar makes the perfect venue to bring a taste of Belgium Beer to South Africa.

With the owner Rob handling the food, the menu has been curated to bring dishes that enhance the unique tastes of the Belgian trio. Rob has a wealth of experience in cuisine and it shows, given that he owns various restaurants on the strip.

The café launches today, 28 August 2019 and will be open every day (except Monday) until the 29th September 2019. You also won’t want to miss out on the Spring Day experience on 1st September 2019 as TBBC welcomes the new season in style.
