Team Renault South Africa returns to Irene Country Club as the nation chases promotion in the 2027 Davis Cup campaign

South African tennis fans have another thrilling international showdown to look forward to as Tennis South Africa (TSA) has confirmed the details for the country’s upcoming Davis Cup World Group II tie against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The highly anticipated fixture will take place at Irene Country Club in Pretoria on 19 and 20 September 2026, with Team Renault South Africa aiming to secure a place in the 2027 Davis Cup World Group I Play-offs.

South Africa Eyes Davis Cup Redemption

South Africa, currently ranked 58th in the world, will face a tough challenge against 39th-ranked Bosnia and Herzegovina in what promises to be an exciting weekend of international team tennis.

The encounter comes after South Africa’s dramatic 3-2 victory over Montenegro earlier this year at the same venue. The home side produced a memorable performance in front of passionate local supporters to secure its place in World Group II.

The September clash also offers South Africa a chance to avenge its 2020 defeat to Bosnia and Herzegovina, when the European nation claimed a 3-1 victory in Zenica.

With home support expected to play a major role once again, Team Renault South Africa will be hoping the Pretoria crowd can help inspire another memorable victory.

He adds that home support has always been one of the team’s greatest strengths and encouraged tennis fans from across the country to get behind the national side. Moruthane also thanked Renault South Africa for its continued sponsorship and commitment to growing South African tennis.
