Plett Arts Festival 2026 to Showcase Two Major Art Exhibitions in Plettenberg Bay

The Plettenberg Bay Arts Association will present The White House Collection and Community Canvas during the highly anticipated Plett Arts Festival 2026

Art lovers can look forward to two inspiring exhibitions at the Plett Arts Festival 2026, as the Plettenberg Bay Arts Association unveils a dynamic showcase of creativity, talent and community spirit from 25 September to 4 October 2026.

Taking place across two unique venues in Plettenberg Bay, the exhibitions will highlight both established and emerging artists, offering visitors an opportunity to experience the rich artistic landscape of the Garden Route.

The White House Collection Brings Collectable Fine Art to Plett Arts Festival

Hosted at The White House Venue, The White House Collection will feature a carefully curated selection of works from established artists within an elegant gallery environment.

Focused on museum-quality and collectable artworks, the exhibition is guided by an experienced curatorial panel comprising respected figures from South Africa’s art industry.

The panel includes renowned art advisor and curator Barbara Lenhard, who serves as a director of Cape Town’s The Artists Gallery and 33BREE, as well as curator for The Travelling Art Gallery across Europe. Joining her is acclaimed fine artist Elize Bezuidenhout, recognised for her portraiture and character studies, with work featured in prestigious competitions including the Sanlam Portrait Awards and Vuleka Art Competition.

Completing the panel is celebrated South African artist Dallas Smith, whose distinctive interpretations of the Plettenberg Bay and Knysna landscapes have earned him an international collector following over the past 25 years.

Together, the panel brings a wealth of curatorial expertise, artistic excellence and regional insight to the exhibition.

Community Canvas Creates an Inclusive Space for Emerging Artists

In contrast to the formal gallery setting of The White House Collection, Community Canvas will transform the Plett Community Hall into an accessible and interactive creative hub.

Designed to welcome artists at every stage of their journey, the exhibition will feature art displays, live demonstrations, workshops and a vibrant market-style atmosphere. Visitors will have the opportunity to engage directly with artists while exploring a diverse range of creative works and artistic practices.
