Louis Vuitton has officially opened its new boutique at Cape Town’s iconic Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, creating one of South Africa’s most luxurious shopping destinations.
The new Louis Vuitton Cape Town store brings together the House’s latest Men’s and Women’s collections under one roof. Visitors can explore leather goods, ready-to-wear fashion, shoes, accessories, travel pieces and the renowned Les Parfums Louis Vuitton fragrance collection.
Designed as more than a boutique, the new space offers an immersive luxury experience that celebrates craftsmanship, architecture and contemporary design.
A Luxury Shopping Experience Inspired by Craftsmanship
Stepping inside, guests are welcomed by an intricately carved wooden façade inspired by Louis Vuitton’s signature Epi leather.
The boutique opens into a sophisticated space showcasing the House’s iconic women’s leather goods against handcrafted Japanese wallpaper featuring an elegant V-shaped design. Nearby, clients can discover luxury accessories and the complete Les Parfums Louis Vuitton collection while relaxing in beautifully crafted rifted oak seating.
Every detail has been carefully considered to reflect Louis Vuitton’s heritage of innovation and craftsmanship.
Distinct Spaces for Women’s and Men’s Collections
The boutique has been thoughtfully divided into dedicated luxury retail spaces.
The Women’s universe features ready-to-wear collections, handbags, leather accessories and shoes, framed by striking macramé wall panels inspired by the House’s iconic Monogram flowers.
The Men’s section offers an inviting atmosphere finished with rich French oak and bespoke leather furnishings. Here, visitors can browse luxury fashion, travel essentials, leather goods, shoes and accessories designed for everyday life and international travel.
The Winter Garden Offers Exclusive Private Shopping
One of the boutique’s standout features is the Winter Garden.
Filled with lush greenery and natural light, the tranquil space overlooks Cape Town’s picturesque Victoria Basin through floor-to-ceiling windows. The garden has been created for private appointments and special occasions, offering clients an intimate luxury shopping experience.

The new Louis Vuitton Cape Town store also celebrates local creativity.
Historic Louis Vuitton trunks and pieces from the House’s renowned Objets Nomades collection are displayed alongside furniture by South African design brand Weylandts and artwork by Namibian artist Nicky Marais.

A New Chapter for Louis Vuitton in Cape Town
Louis Vuitton first opened in Cape Town in December 2007 before renovating its original boutique in 2019. The House has now relocated to its new, larger space within the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, officially opened on 30 July 2026.
