GBV and Femicide are not merely isolated acts but direct consequences of deep-seated structural inequality and profound threats to South Africa’s social cohesion and economic stability. The urgency of this crisis is staggering; this year alone, 40,035 women were raped, placing the country fourth globally in absolute numbers.

Addressing Corporate GBV

As an award-winning Risk Expert and Chartered Accountant SA, Moodley is now leveraging her professional insight to expose and combat the structural and emotional abuse pervasive in corporate environments. In doing so, she aims to inspire meaningful change within workplaces.

Meanwhile, Moodley draws on her own lived experience of workplace intimidation after raising an ethical concern, using her story to stress a core problem: retaliation against those who speak out remains alarmingly common and, all too often, becomes normalised.

Against this backdrop, Boss Babes of South Africa is determined to use its platform to support women enduring ‘Corporate GBV’. Furthermore, the organisation intends to initiate collaborations with leading labour experts, psychologists, and psychiatrists.

This multi-disciplinary approach, in turn, will provide targeted support to victims, ultimately transforming painful experiences into actionable lessons for young professionals as they navigate challenging environments.

Creating Psychologically Safe Workplaces

In an effort to raise awareness and accountability in the workplace, Moodley is preparing to launch a documentary titled Corporate GBV about her experiences.

Significantly, the film aims to serve as a stark national reminder of the misuse of power, compliance failures, and toxic conduct—issues that remain all too familiar to countless women in Corporate South Africa. By sharing her story, she hopes to foster open conversation and lasting change across corporate environments.
