The BAM Collective is pleased to announce its official sponsors for ROMANTICISM 2026, the brand’s runway presentation taking place on 10 April 2026 within Fashion_The Image at the Roger Ballen Centre for Photography and the Inside Out Centre for the Arts.
Bringing together a dynamic group of partners across fashion, beauty, and lifestyle, the showcase is supported by a shared commitment to creativity, innovation, and contemporary South African expression.
A CELEBRATION OF COLLABORATION
Leading the partnership is Wild Africa Cream, the headline sponsor for the presentation. Known for its distinctive positioning of “Elegance Untamed,” Wild Africa Cream embodies a balance of refinement and bold character, a sensibility closely aligned with The BAM Collective’s approach to design. With its visual language rooted in the animalistic and the instinctual, the brand sits naturally within the world of ROMANTICISM 2026, where themes of texture, theatricality, and heightened expression unfold within the striking, immersive setting of the Roger Ballen Centre for Photography. Guests will experience a curated selection of the brand’s signature cream liqueurs, including Original, Caffè Latte, and Chocolate, served throughout the evening.
“Wild Africa Cream is proud to sponsor this showcase in support of contemporary South African design and creative expression. Jacques Bam’s work reflects a distinctive approach to style, blending refinement with a confident sense of individuality. This resonates with Wild Africa Cream’s brand spirit: one that values sophistication while embracing character and originality, making this a natural and meaningful partnership. Through this collaboration, we celebrate not only the artistry of fashion, but also the power of immersive experiences that bring people together in moments of creativity, connection, and expression.”
Footwear for the collection is provided by Mr Price, a leading force in accessible fashion with a strong national footprint. Each look in ROMANTICISM 2026 will be paired with footwear from Mr Price, marking a continued relationship with Creative Director Jacques Bam, who previously collaborated with the retailer on the MRP x BAM Creative Collabs range. This partnership underscores a shared interest in bridging contemporary design with broader fashion accessibility, bringing together directional design and everyday wearability.
Beauty for the runway will be led by Catrice Cosmetics, with makeup direction by Alex Botha. Known for its high-performance formulations and positioning within the space of accessible luxury, Catrice brings a polished, trend-driven approach to beauty that complements the theatrical and expressive nature of the collection.
“Catrice is a high-performance beauty brand that delivers professional-quality products with a premium look and feel at an accessible price point. Positioned as an aspirational yet attainable brand, Catrice represents affordable luxury, combining elevated packaging, proven formulas, and trend-conscious design with a strong focus on inclusivity and diversity. This collaboration reflects a shared focus on modern style and cultural relevance. Partnering with The BAM Collective allows Catrice to connect beauty more closely with fashion, reinforcing the idea that makeup is an extension of personal style. Through this partnership, we aim to bring a refined yet accessible perspective to trend-led beauty, while strengthening our position as a brand that delivers aspiration, inclusivity, and trusted performance for the everyday consumer.”
Hair for the presentation is created by Carlton Hair, one of South Africa’s most established salon groups, recognised for its editorial expertise and commitment to innovation within the hair industry. Their work for ROMANTICISM 2026 translates runway expression into refined, contemporary hair design.
“Carlton Hair is proud to stand alongside The BAM Collective in a dynamic creative collaboration. Rooted in a shared vision, this partnership is driven by a commitment to excellence, sustainability, and a deep connection to evolving trends. Together, Carlton Hair and The BAM Collective celebrate and elevate South African design, championing local talent while contributing to the momentum of the creative economy. For Carlton Hair stylists, this space becomes a living atelier of inspiration, where innovation and artistry converge. Immersed in a trend-led environment, they reinterpret runway expression into modern, wearable hair; bridging the gap between high fashion and everyday luxury. Carlton Hair looks ahead to this ongoing journey with The BAM Collective, an alliance shaped by creativity, defined by collaboration, and inspired by the ever-shifting language of fashion.”
Additional support is provided by The Health Food Emporium and Lamelle Research Laboratories as wellness sponsors, extending the experience of ROMANTICISM 2026 beyond the runway through a focus on nourishment, care, and considered luxury.
ROMANTICISM 2026
With ROMANTICISM 2026, The BAM Collective continues to explore fashion as spectacle, embracing excess and the enduring allure of runway theatre. The collection is conceived as a celebration of fashion for its own sake; an immersive, cinematic presentation where clothing becomes a vehicle for fantasy, transformation, and expression.
The support of these partners enables a show that is ambitious in vision and collaborative in execution, reinforcing the role of partnerships in shaping contemporary South African luxury design.
