Cape Town’s rugby legacy takes centre stage this season as adidas and the DHL Stormers unveil the highly anticipated 2026/27 Home and Away jerseys. The new kit collection celebrates the club’s rich heritage while embracing modern performance technology for players and supporters alike.
The launch continues the renewed partnership between adidas and the DHL Stormers under the campaign “Roots Run Deep”, honouring decades of shared rugby history and the unmistakable identity of one of South Africa’s most celebrated franchises.
DHL Stormers Home Jersey Honours an Iconic Legacy
The 2026/27 DHL Stormers Home jersey stays true to the club’s famous blue and white hoops. The design pays tribute to generations of supporters who have made the colours synonymous with Western Cape rugby.
While the signature hoops remain the defining feature, the jersey introduces a contrasting white collar. The update adds a traditional rugby aesthetic while preserving the classic look that fans know and love.
According to adidas South Africa Senior Brand Director Tom Brown, the design celebrates what makes rugby in the Western Cape unique.
“This season was about doubling down on what makes rugby in the Western Cape iconic. The hoops, the blue and white home jersey complemented by the Men in Black away jersey, both boldly celebrate the connection with the people and communities who support this team.”

The standout piece in the collection is the 2026/27 Away jersey, inspired by the legendary Men in Black era of 1999.
The all-black design reimagines one of the club’s most memorable kits for today’s game. It captures the confidence, attitude and energy that defined that period while delivering a contemporary look that works both on and off the field.

“The home jersey with the white collar is the closest to our traditional colours there has ever been, and the away jersey is something special which looks incredible whether you are old enough to remember the Men in Black era or not.”
Stormers Rugby Chief Commercial Officer Leontine De Sutter added that the collection balances tradition with progress.
