Nonkululeko Mlaba – Cricket’s Fearless Trailblazer
From the streets of Durban’s townships to the grand stage of international Test matches, Nonkululeko has emerged as South Africa’s formidable left-arm spin sensation.
Since becoming a Proteas player in 2019, she achieved a historic milestone in December 2024 by taking a 10-wicket haul against England; in fact, she was the first South African woman to reach this remarkable feat. Training alongside cricketing legends, Nonkululeko also brings a fearless spirit to the pitch, inspiring teammates and captivating fans alike.
Sive Mfenyana – High-Flying Role Model
From her start as a Cadet to her current position as a Senior First Officer, Sive pilots Boeing 737-800s for South Africa’s leading airline, FlySafair. As one of the few black female pilots in the country, she serves as a powerful symbol of hope.
Motivated by her unique position and a deep sense of purpose, Sive also mentors aspiring pilots from underrepresented backgrounds.

Constable Brooke Erin Fritz – Underwater Hero
Constable Fritz is reshaping the definition of bravery as the youngest female SAPS diver in the Western Cape. Her remarkable work encompasses everything from delicate crime-scene recoveries to intense lifesaving rescue missions.
Because of her exceptional contributions, she was honoured by the SAPS during Youth Month 2025, a powerful testament that women have a vital role at every level of service.
Jessica Thompson – Teenage Swim Star
At just 16 years old, Jessica has emerged as a formidable force in swimming, shattering the 50m butterfly record at the Commonwealth Youth Games.
Her talent also shone at the SA Nationals, where she set three age group records. Currently holding records across various strokes, she showcases versatile prowess in the pool.
After coming just 0.35 seconds away from qualifying for the Paris Olympics, her sights are now set on the international stage. Indeed, with the LA 2028 Games in her aspirations, she is immersing herself in rigorous training to make swimming history.

Yewon Choi – Cape Town’s Cultural Storyteller
Yewon is a captivating storyteller who conveys culture through food, skincare, and style. Born in Korea but with her heart in Cape Town, she seamlessly combines her affection for local brands with the comforting flavours of her heritage.
By sharing the beauty of authentic Asian dishes, for instance, she conveys the profound joy of being seen. Her world flourishes in the realms of identity and connection, whether it’s through the glow of skincare, the warmth of a bowl of noodles, or a piece of clothing that feels perfectly aligned with her essence.
Bridget Mangwandi – MasterChef with a Mission
At the age of 20, Bridget made history as the youngest and first black female victor of MasterChef SA, winning R1 million and capturing hearts across the country.
As a student of food science, she expertly combines innovation with her culinary roots. Following this success, she is now nurturing her business in the culinary field, with aspirations for a show, a studio, and her own product line.
Lindo ASMR – Zulu’s Calmest Voice
As one of South Africa’s few isiZulu ASMRtists, Lindo delivers soft, soothing content rooted in comfort and care. Her name pronunciations, skincare rituals, and bedtime stories offer healing through soft sounds.

Masabata Sebusi – The Agri Innovator
Recognised as one of News24’s “100 Young Mandelas,” Masabata is revolutionising food systems at the grassroots level. She established AgriVuno, which helps smallholder farmers gain access to training and markets.
As a passionate champion for youth leadership, she has, for instance, assisted more than 100 farmers, creating an agricultural future that nourishes both people and purpose.
Georgina Bennett – Fashion’s Circular Champion
As the Brand Director at Style Rotate, Georgina heads one of South Africa’s most groundbreaking fashion rental services. She has styled celebrities such as Rachel Kolisi and managed significant campaigns like the Style Rotate X Poetry Collection.
As a result, she is transforming the conventions of the fashion industry with sophistication and influence.
Candice Chirwa – Minister of Menstruation
Candice is an advocate for gender equality, a writer, a TEDx speaker, and the founder of Qrate, a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting menstrual education and policy reform.
