Meet your potential new best friend, support local businesses and help rescue animals in need at a family-friendly adoption and market day in Johannesburg
Animal lovers and families are invited to make a difference at the Woodrock Animal Rescue Adoption & Market Day, taking place at Fourways Crossing Bark Park on Saturday, 31 October 2026. Combining rescue dog adoptions, local shopping and community giving, the event promises a heartwarming day out for a worthy cause.
Organised by Smiths Collection in support of Woodrock Animal Rescue, the event aims to raise awareness about animal adoption while bringing Johannesburg’s pet-loving community together.
Find Your Forever Friend
At the heart of the Woodrock Animal Rescue Adoption & Market Day is the opportunity to meet rescue dogs searching for loving forever homes. Visitors can spend time getting to know the animals and learn more about the importance of responsible pet adoption.
Beyond the adoption experience, guests can browse a selection of stalls featuring local small businesses, making it an ideal Saturday outing for families and animal enthusiasts alike. Vendor stall fees will also contribute towards supporting Woodrock Animal Rescue and its ongoing work.
Fill the Bakkie and Make a Difference
Visitors are encouraged to support the Fill the Bakkie donation drive by bringing pet food and other useful supplies for animals in need.
Whether you’re considering adopting a rescue dog, supporting local entrepreneurs or simply looking for a meaningful way to spend your Saturday, every contribution helps make a difference.
