The Christmas Lunch Menu features a Starter Buffet with various dishes – Cream of Pumpkin Soup, Chicken Liver Pate, Asparagus wrapped in Bacon, Seafood Salad, Three-Bean Salad and Chick Pea and Mango Salad; Beef Carpaccio, Cape Malay Fish, Ox Tongue with sweet mustard sauce, smoked , cured sliced Cold Meats, assorted Garden Leaves and a selection of artisan Breads; the Main Course comprising a choice of four delicious dishes – Roast Leg of Lamb, Glazed Gammon, Poached Turkey Breast and Seared Kingklip and a delectable Dessert Buffet – Dutch Apple Bake served with raisin compote and vanilla ice cream, Sticky Toffee served with butterscotch sauce and gooseberry compote and the decadent Amarula Chocolate Mousse served with raspberry coulis and mascarpone.

Celebrate the ending of 2018 and the beginning of 2019 in style at the Turbine’s Masquerade New Year’s Eve Dinner on Monday 31 December 2018, from 20h00 at the Island Café.
The New Year’s Eve Menu:
Starters – a choice of Ostrich Kebab with gooseberry compote set on apple, cumin cous-cous salad topped with raita or the seared Sesame Crusted Salmon and Fried Prawn Wonton served with egg noodle and sautéed pak choi lamb and lentil tortellini minestrone;
Main course – Karoo Lamb Rack served with smoked potato puree and pickled beetroot or Confit Duck with Duck leg quarter set on sweet potato puree sautéed sour cream jus or Baked Lemon Garlic Sole served with caper hollandaise set on warm bean salad and smoked vine tomatoes and the grand finale Dessert Buffet decked with Peppermint Crisp Cheesecake, Lemon Meringue, Chocolate Mousse, Macadamia Nut Chocolate Brownies, Malva Pudding with custard, Cappuccino Mousse Profiteroles and Assorted Cheeses with preserves and crackers.
Cost: R730 per person – strictly no children under 18.
Both Christmas Lunch and the Masquerade New Year’s Eve Dinner are in the Island Café Restaurant with tables overlooking the canals, pool deck or nestled between the original refurbished turbines and booking is essential.
