Father’s Day with Daddy was never about extravagance it was about celebrating the man whose love has always been present.
The day started with breakfast in bed: his favourite @jacobscoffee.za Southeast Asia Blend instant coffee, a few rusks, and the quiet joy of being together. Then we headed to church, because gratitude feels most complete when it’s shared with God.
Afterwards, we gathered around a Sunday roast filled with all of Daddy’s favourite side dishes, ending the meal with his beloved sago pudding because some favourites are too special to be saved only for winter.
My dad deserves the absolute best because he has spent his life giving his best. He is the dad who shows up. The dad who stays. The dad whose love is found not only in grand gestures, but in countless small acts of sacrifice, patience, and unwavering presence.
A present can never fully repay a father like that, because the greatest gift he has given us is himself his time, his strength, his guidance, and his heart.
Here’s to the dads who are present. The dads who choose their families every single day. And especially to my Daddy, who reminds me that love isn’t just something you say it’s something you live.

For Father’s Day, I plan to spend quality time with my dad and make the day special for him. I want to start the morning by making him a warm cup of Jacobs Coffee and enjoying breakfast together while we talk and relax. Later, we might go out for a walk, watch his favourite movie, or simply spend time sharing stories and laughing together. I also want to thank him for all the love, support, and guidance he has given me over the years. My goal is to make him feel appreciated and remind him how important he is to our family.
We plan on going for a little hike, afterwards we will go chill in the pool and enjoy a family braai 🔥
Weather is amazing in Cape Town this father day weekend so will definitely start the morning with a walk on the beach then go for brunch at one of the amazing beach front restaurants in Kalk Bay.

We have two under two so going out with the children is difficult- we are going to pack n picnic basket (with all my husband’s favourite snacks) and have a picnic in the park!
My #FathersDay plans are to spoil my husband. I will take him to a Spa for a Full body massage followed by lunch at his favourite restaurant to remind him that we love and appreciate him.

Not every man can walk into a family with 3 kids and say “Yep, I’ll take the chaos” 👨👧👦💙 But for the last 8 years he has loved and raised them as his own like an absolute legend.🥰 Never making them feel anything less than completely his.
Now I’m heavily pregnant with our IVF miracle baby 🤰✨ waddling around the house like an exhausted penguin while he somehow keeps everything together 😂No matter how stressful life gets, he always makes our family feel loved, protected, and important ❤️
Our perfect Father’s Day is all about celebrating Dad with the simple things he loves most. We’ll start the morning with a well-deserved breakfast in bed, followed by a peaceful family walk along the river, making memories together. Then it’s time for a hearty oxtail potjie while we enjoy some fun family games and laughter. We’ll end the day with Dad’s favourite treat — warm malva pudding and custard — because the best celebrations are filled with love, family, and a little bit of sweetness.

I will spending Father’s Day with my uncle Themba Dingilizwe. He is the first father figure to both my son and I. After my mom passed in 2006, he took over my mothers reigns and really shaped me into the woman I am today.
He has also played a significant role in my own child’s life and I will always love him for that.
Uncles are sometimes overlooked, their support, sacrifices and love. This Father’s Day I want to surprise my uncle with this gift to show him that he matters- he will always matter to me,
1st we go to church, then we visit my mother’s final resting place to lay wreaths after which we shall proceed to a local eatery for brunch after finishing there we then proceed to home and find any sport on television for dad to go through the day.
This Father’s Day, my plan is to start the morning by brewing a rich cup of Jacobs coffee for my dad, paired with his favorite rooibos tea biscuits. We’ll spend the day together watching his beloved quiz shows. He’s the one who taught me curiosity and resilience, and celebrating him with warmth, laughter, and a perfectly brewed cup feels just right.
