The Unofficial Tribute Show – Taylor: A Tribute to the Eras of Taylor Swift Music comes to Johannesburg for two shows in August 2026

Johannesburg is getting ready for another Taylor Swift takeover. THE UNOFFICIAL TRIBUTE SHOW – TAYLOR: A Tribute to the Eras of Taylor Swift Music returns to Joburg Theatre for two exclusive performances on Saturday, 29 August, and Sunday, 30 August 2026.

Following its Johannesburg debut last year, the production has since toured across Canada, Australia and New Zealand, building a growing international following.

A Taylor Swift Tribute Made for Swifties

The show is the latest production from acclaimed producer and ‘Tribute King’ Johnny Van Grinsven and his production house, Showtime Australia, also behind Belinda Davids’ acclaimed The Greatest Love of All tribute show.

At the centre of the production is New Zealand-based solo artist Josette, who was selected for her natural musicality and striking resemblance to Taylor Swift.

“It’s very flattering when people want to give a special nod to me as an artist. It makes me happy to see everyone else so happy and I’m so proud to be a part of making that environment for everyone,” says Josette.

For its return to Johannesburg, Josette will be joined by a live band and a spectacular theatrical production designed to capture the energy and scale of Swift’s iconic performances.

Taylor Swift’s Biggest Hits Take Centre Stage

The Taylor Swift tribute show in Johannesburg features more than 20 of Swift’s biggest songs, spanning her career and celebrating the different eras that have made her one of the world’s biggest pop stars.

The setlist includes Billboard favourites such as “Shake It Off”, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”, “Bad Blood”, “Cruel Summer”, “Anti-Hero” and “Blank Space”.

The Joburg performances will also introduce new material to the show, including Swift’s latest soundtrack release, “I Knew It, I Knew You”, from Toy Story 5.

“Joburg audiences set the bar so high… no crowd energy can compare,” says Josette. “Myself and the rest of the cast have put in so much work since our last visit and with the new songs we’ve popped into the show, the South African Swifties will be so happy, I just know they are going to love it twice as much.”

Two Shows Only at Joburg Theatre

Swifties will have just two opportunities to experience THE UNOFFICIAL TRIBUTE SHOW – TAYLOR in Johannesburg this August.

The production takes place at Joburg Theatre on Saturday, 29 August at 2pm, followed by a second performance on Sunday, 30 August at 2pm.
