Red Bull 64 Bars Booth Tour 2026 Returns to Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Pretoria

The Red Bull 64 Bars Booth Tour is back for its third year, taking South Africa’s biggest freestyle rap platform across four cities from August to September 2026

The booth is back. The Red Bull 64 Bars Booth Tour returns for its third year, bringing South Africa’s MCs together across Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Pretoria from 22 August to 19 September 2026.

At the centre of the national tour is Thaboow Thimmy, who will travel with the Booth Tour across all four cities, bringing energy, personality and a consistent presence to each stop as MCs step up to the mic and put their lyricism to the test.

Built around the power of raw lyricism, the Red Bull 64 Bars Booth gives artists one beat, 64 bars and a chance to make their mark. There are no hooks, no choruses and no pre-written verses — just the artist, the beat and the bars.

For its third year, the Booth Tour continues to create a platform for South African MCs to showcase their ability, delivery and presence under pressure while taking the format to different hip-hop communities across the country.

The Red Bull 64 Bars Booth Tour 2026 will travel across four South African cities.

• Johannesburg: The Playground, Braamfontein | 22–23 August 2026 | 09:00–17:00

• Cape Town: Y?GEN Apparel, Wynberg | 29–30 August 2026 | 09:00–17:00

• Durban: Florida Road Basketball Courts | 12–13 September 2026

• Pretoria: 012 Central | 18–19 September 2026

Entry is free and open to anyone aged 18 and over. On-site registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis and is subject to venue capacity.

Herc Cut The Lights and Shaney Jay shape the sound

Behind the booth this year are producers Herc Cut The Lights and Shaney Jay, who will shape the sonic identity of the tour across all four stops.

The music will continue long after the tour ends.

Every verse recorded throughout the tour will contribute to the Red Bull 64 Bars Booth Tour 2026 Season EP, creating a lasting snapshot of the artists who stepped up and put their bars on the line.

The Booth Tour is back on the road, giving MCs across South Africa another opportunity to step into the booth, take their shot and show the country what they’ve got.
