We wish all of our Greenside Animal Hospital clients and patients a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you for another year of sharing the care of your pets – for entrusting your dogs’, cats’ and other small animals’ health to us. We appreciate your ongoing support and hope that you and your family have a well-deserved break.

We Are Open During December

Greenside Animal Hospital will be operating as usual during the festive season, except on 24 December, when we will close at 17:00.

Our consulting hours are:

  • Monday – Friday: 07:00 – 11:00 and 14:00 – 19:00
  • Saturday: 08:00 – 13:00
  • Sundays & Public Holidays: Closed

To prevent unnecessary waiting times, consultations with the vet are strictly by appointment only. Please call us at 011 646 4210 to make a booking.

If you have a pet emergency after hours (13:00 – 19:00 on Saturdays and 07:00 – 19:00 on Sundays and Public Holidays), please use our emergency number: 076 790 7957.

Always Be Prepared During the Holidays

To avoid the risk of running out of pet food, lapsing on your pets’ tick and flea treatment or emptying the treat bin, make sure you’ve got enough of everything to last you through the holidays.

Please visit our fully-stocked vet shop to purchase the pet supplies you’ll need for the months of December and January.

Please speak with your vet or our knowledgeable staff about appropriate calming treatments to help your pets cope with extra visitors, festive chaos, and loud noises from storms or fireworks.
