Celebrating South African design on a global stage
Design Week South Africa was established to celebrate design as a powerful expression of creativity, innovation and collaboration while strengthening the country’s creative economy.
Inspired by internationally recognised design weeks in cities such as Milan and Melbourne, the platform creates opportunities for designers, makers and creative businesses to engage with the public, share knowledge, inspire emerging talent and showcase South African design excellence.
Alongside its annual city-wide festivals, Design Week South Africa hosts year-round activations that promote collaboration, industry growth and greater public appreciation for local design.
