Sorbet Hyde Park Corner recently played host to the glamorous relaunch of Franchise Owner Felicia Ntisa’s three newly renovated Sorbet Hyde Park destinations: Sorbet Beauty, Sorbet Man and Sorbet Nailbar.

Embarking on an extraordinary three-month transformation, Ntisa completely gutted and rebuilt her stores, unveiling spaces that perfectly blend sophistication with the signature Sorbet warmth.

‘My three reimagined stores in Hyde Park Corner are designed to make our customers feel special and pampered. This is more than a retail experience – it’s a community, a family, unlike any other centre.’

~ Felicia Ntisa, Franchise Owner

An Indulgent Relaunch at Sorbet Hyde Park

The relaunch experience was, above all, curated as an indulgent journey. Guests gathered at Zebra Square Automobile, where classic and exotic sports cars surrounded them. They enjoyed molecular canapés, effervescent bubbles, and fine whiskeys.

From there, ushers guided everyone to the three Sorbet stores for an evening of pampering – from soothing hand and foot massages to freshly sculpted nails. The men’s grooming stations proved particularly popular with style icons such as Gemaen Taylor, Kat Sinivasan and Don Ayo.

Nestled alongside the recently opened Checkers, guests enjoyed mini beauty treatments from Sorbet’s extensive service menu, while brand activations by Motherkind, Bio Sculpture, Dermalogica, Beaute Pacifique and Lelive added an extra layer of indulgence, with beautifully curated gift bags to take home.

The evening concluded on a sweet note at the elegant Just Teddy emporium. Guests indulged in Sorbet-branded éclairs and enjoyed bespoke Sorbet gifts served on gold trays—a fitting finale that celebrated beauty, style, and community in true Sorbet fashion.

Celebrity Style at the Sorbet Hyde Park Relaunch

The Sorbet Hyde Park relaunch was as much a celebration of style as it was of beauty, with guests turning heads in statement-making looks. A case in point? Marika Opperman, who was effortlessly glamorous in a striking little red number by designer Jacques Bam, embodied timeless sophistication.

Makoma Mohale then channelled Parisian chic, pairing a bold red beret with a classic all-denim ensemble, a masterclass in effortless style.

Kat Sinivasan and Omuhle Gela, recently awarded SA Style Awards Most Stylish Couple, certainly delivered looks that commanded the room. Meanwhile, Sherinne Winderly brought this year’s Met Gala theme to Hyde Park, sporting a tailored oversized striped suit unexpectedly paired with rare Nike Air Max 90s – a daring fusion that was pure fashion gold.

Dapper Gents at the Sorbet Hyde Park Celebration

While the ladies dazzled in their glamorous ensembles, the undeniable showstoppers of the evening were the men. Serving as the true eye candy of the relaunch, these gents turned heads as they enjoyed fresh fades and impeccable line-ups at Sorbet Man, further elevating their already dashing looks.

The crowd was treated to the presence of style-savvy gentlemen such as Zamani Mbatha, Gesela Omnyamaa, Thulane Hadebe, Thabo Maredi and André (better known as Kanyedre), each exuding confidence, charm, and effortless sophistication.

A Sanctuary of Self-Care

Sorbet Beauty in Hyde Park is a sanctuary of self-care, offering the full spectrum of Sorbet’s renowned treatments – from indulgent facials and rejuvenating massages to precision waxing, threading, and brow and lash services.

This premium experience is designed to leave every guest feeling refreshed and confident, delivered with professional service, impeccable cleanliness, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

The Ultimate Nail Destination

A few steps away, Sorbet Nailbar stands as the ultimate destination for expert nail care. Known nationwide for delivering over two million nail treatments annually, the Hyde Park branch in particular specialises in Bio Sculpture manicures, pedicures, gel, acrylic, polygel, biogel, overlays, and bespoke nail art.

In addition, unique offerings such as anti-ageing manicures and pedicures with pharmaceutical-grade ingredients ensure results as beautiful as they are lasting.

Sorbet Man Hyde Park: Redefining Male Grooming

Completing the trio, Sorbet Man redefines male grooming in Johannesburg. The Hyde Park branch combines old-school barbering traditions with contemporary style, offering tailored haircuts, beard grooming, hot-towel shaves, and advanced skincare treatments – including the sought-after ingrown hair service. Ultimately, every cut and treatment is delivered with meticulous attention to detail.

Across all three Hyde Park Corner locations, the Sorbet “Citizens”, as the brand affectionately calls its highly trained team, ensure a consistent, personalised, and feel-good experience for every guest. Together, these branches showcase Sorbet Hyde Park’s 14-year commitment to making beauty and grooming not just a service, but a celebration.
