The grand finale of the 2026 Mahindra Fusion Fest is ready to take centre stage, with final preparations underway at the SunBet Arena in Menlyn ahead of Saturday night’s highly anticipated event.

Now in its second edition, Mahindra Fusion Fest has evolved into a large-scale celebration of South African music, art and fashion. This year’s programme expanded beyond a single evening, incorporating a nationwide talent search for artists, musicians and fashion designers, along with roadshow events in Cape Town and Durban. The result is a multi-city cultural showcase culminating in a high-energy finale in Pretoria.

A Celebration of Creative Fusion

The concept behind Fusion Fest is collaboration. For the grand finale, Mahindra has curated four specially produced “Fusion” performances, each blending distinct musical styles with complementary fashion showcases and art exhibitions.

Each segment brings together established and contemporary voices across genres, creating a layered experience that goes beyond a traditional concert format.

Rewind the Revolution

A nostalgic tribute to the soundtrack of a young democratic South Africa, this segment features Zöe Modiga, Mafikizolo, Kurt Darren and Claire Johnston of Mango Groove. The visual element is curated by pop artist Shaun “Damn Vandal” Oakley, while fashion is presented by Mzukisi Mbane of Imprint.

Hip Hop Most High

One of the most anticipated collaborations of the night, this fusion blends hip hop and gospel. BLXKIE and Maglera Doe Boy join forces with the Tshwane Gospel Choir, complemented by art from Ndumiso Nyoni. The fashion showcase has been curated by Jacques Bam of the Bam Collective.

Femme For All

A celebration of women’s voices and creative power, this segment brings together Karen Zoid, Nomfundo Moh and Mariechan, alongside visual artist Inka Kendzia in a showcase that highlights female-led expression across disciplines.

All About Now

Closing the evening is a contemporary amapiano showcase featuring Focalistic, Daliwonga and Zee Nxumalo. Muralist Bushy Wopp adds a visual dimension, while fashion designer Thando Ntuli of Munkus completes the fusion.

Spotlight on Emerging Talent

In keeping with its commitment to uplifting local creatives, Mahindra will host the winners of its national fashion, art and music talent search competitions at the finale. Each winner will receive a cheque for R30 000 and the opportunity to present their work live in front of thousands of attendees.

Fans arriving early will also have the opportunity to interact with Mahindra vehicles on site. In a further highlight, one lucky fan who participated in a Mahindra test drive prior to the event will be selected on the night to win a brand-new Mahindra XUV 3XO.
