Building the song became a real moment of release for me. It allowed me to finally let go of someone who had hurt and mistreated me during that chapter of my life.”

Originally from Durban and now based in Cape Town, Keely has been writing songs for as long as she can remember.

Her instinctive ability to craft melodies and stories shaped the genre-blending sound she is quickly becoming known for.

After four years studying musical theatre at LAMTA, she went on to star in the South African premiere of Dear Evan Hansen.

But while theatre sharpened her performance craft, her passion for deeply personal storytelling eventually drew her toward life as a solo artist.
