Africa’s most influential design showcase is back. 100% Design Africa returns to Decorex Joburg 2026 from 30 July to 2 August, taking over an entire floor at the Sandton Convention Centre with an immersive celebration of contemporary African design, décor, furniture, lighting and interiors.
As one of the continent’s leading design platforms, the exhibition brings together celebrated designers, innovative brands, emerging creatives and thought leaders shaping the future of African design.

For more than 20 years, 100% Design Africa has championed African creativity by introducing groundbreaking designers and showcasing exceptional craftsmanship. This year’s edition expands its offering with curated exhibitions, interactive installations, design-led restaurants, cultural experiences and industry talks.
Visitors can explore work from leading brands including Vetsak, African Jacquard, Iron Bannister and Dwela, while The Collector’s Room by Russell Kaplan Auctioneers celebrates over a century of iconic furniture, art and collectible design.

At the heart of the exhibition is 100% Local, an annual showcase celebrating South African furniture, lighting, ceramics and material innovation.

Designer of the Year: LRNCE
This year’s 100% Iconic exhibition honours LRNCE, named Decorex Africa Designer of the Year 2026.
Founded in Marrakech by Laurence Leenaert and Ayoub Boualam, LRNCE is internationally recognised for handcrafted ceramics, textiles, furniture, tiles and interiors created in collaboration with Moroccan artisans.
Their colourful, handcrafted aesthetic has become one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary design.

Visitors can dine at The Good Table, a beautifully designed restaurant created by Studio Botanicus, Food, I Love You, Lounge by Marble & Mauve and Wolkberg.
Nearby, The Social Library reimagines the exhibition bar with a sophisticated culinary experience inspired by French, Japanese, Taiwanese and Southeast Asian flavours.
African Design Beyond South Africa
The exhibition welcomes international collaboration with a dedicated showcase from Design Week Lagos, highlighting one of Africa’s fastest-growing creative cities.
Visitors can also view winning projects from the prestigious AIDA Awards, featuring outstanding work across architecture, interiors, fashion, lighting, product and visual design.
Future Talks Inspire the Design Industry
Design professionals can attend Future Talks, presented by Oggie, with daily keynote sessions and expert panel discussions exploring collaboration, sustainability, innovation and the future of African design.
