Get ready for a groundbreaking design dialogue as Decorex Cape Town returns from 5–8 June 2025 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, unveiling the continent’s most forward-thinking creative voices through its Future Talks series.
Under the theme “Design Makes the Future,” Decorex is curating four days of provocative, themed conversations featuring leading and emerging talent from across Africa – including SAOTA, Clout/SA’s Tracy Lee-Lynch, Life Interiors’ Maira Koutsoudakis, and Reform Studio from Egypt.
With over 16 sessions spanning legacy, sustainability, sensory design, architecture, and tech innovation, this event dives deep into how design is shaping everything from the streets we walk to the spaces we shop, gather, and connect.
Highlights include:
- “Ten Years: Body of Work” celebrating trailblazing designers who’ve shaped a decade of African design.
- “The Rising Stars” introducing fearless new voices in a VISI-curated showcase.
- “The Shoppers” – an unprecedented retail roundtable exploring the future of buying.
- “The Sensorites” and “The Flavourists” – immersive sessions exploring design through scent, taste, and emotion.
Plus, a unique twist: Future Talks theatres will be designed by second-year students from Greenside Design Centre – spotlighting the next generation of interior innovators.
