Cinderella
This long anticipated magical fairytale, by Janice Honeyman, takes us on Cinderella’s journey after being treated as a servant by her stepmother and stepsisters. Like most fairytales, there is a happy ending. Cinderella is transformed into a beautiful princess with the help of her fairy god-mother. This all-star pantomime is filled with an abundance of colour, stunning costumes and sets. Isidingo’s Barker Haines (Robert Whitehead) and Idols 2010 finalist, Bongi Mthombeni are some of the stars in this cast. Cinderella starts showing at the Joburg Theatre from 28 October to 30 December.

This musical tribute chronicles the life of freedom fighter and former president Nelson Mandela. The musical features award-winning South African singer, Gloria Bosman in a leading role. It features traditional Xhosa songs and jazz acts to tell Mandela’s compelling life story starting from the Transkei to Robben Island and his final walk to freedom. See it in the Teatro at Montecasino from 13 August to 19 August.
